Want to get to know me better?  At least to the extent the law allows...?

Kylie interlocked our arms, it was all her idea!

Hey everyone!  In case you didn't know...I was born 6/8/82 in Mather Air Force Base, California (near Sacramento for all you military-base-challenged types).

A lot of people ask me, "where are you from?"

This isn't an easy question to answer for someone who grew up with a parent in the military.  The answer is "I'm from everywhere."  From Mather AFB we moved to North Dakota, then to Nebraska, South Dakota, California, and then Utah.  Dad retired at that point (and I graduated high school) and we moved to the Northwest.  My parents still reside in Vancouver (where they moved to in 2000) and I recently moved to Austin, TX to live closer to my long distance girlfriend.

Camping with the family...

Kylie is fast asleep!

Here is my niece, Kylie, sleeping on me while me and my family were camping.  She was only a month old in this pic!

In mid-June 2003 my siblings and their spouses went camping in Battle Ground, WA.  This is one pic from the camping trip.  I had turned 21 just a few days before that.  As you can see in the pic below, I didn't waste much time celebrating that fact...

Once you hit 21, it's all down hill from there...

What will you do with it?

It is hard to say at this point, but I have taken a few utility economics classes and I totally loved them!  I took Public Utility Economics, Energy Economics, and The Economics of Green Power.  All three were really cool!  So I'm hoping to get a job working for a utility company as an economic analyst or something.  Time will tell :)

  • The Shawshank Redemption (MUST SEE also)
  • Oceans 11 / 12
  • Meet the Parents / Meet the Fockers
  • The Butterfly Effect

Music:

Pearl Jam is definitely my favorite band...without a doubt.

Other bands/musicians I like are:
Norah Jones
Blessid Union of Souls
DMX
Eminem

Color:

I don't have a favorite, per se, but if I had to choose I'd have to say blue :)

Vacation spot:

This is another tough one...I've been to Hawaii and enjoyed it there.  My ideal vacation, however, would be away from the hustle and bustle of life, away from the scorching (or even moderate heat), but in close proximity to various electronic toys (computers, Playstation 2, etc) :D

Car:

Dodge Copperhead

Click the link above to see it...it is quite a beautiful machine.  Better than the Viper no doubt, and much more rare as well :)  I have yet to see one in real life...if you have let me know :D

Television sitcom:

Well my favorite sitcom that's no longer airing new episodes would have to be Seinfeld.  Favorite sitcom still on the air is DEFINITELY King of Queens.  And, I don't know...if that show keeps getting better like it is it might actually overtake Seinfeld.  It's just that good :)

Television show:

Well I am mostly into sitcoms...what can I say I prefer to laugh :)  Although I generally hate "reality tv" shows (Apprentice, Survivor, etc) I LOVE the reality shows where those on the show are being tricked or don't know they are being watched.  I have always loved "Candid Camera" and "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment" just because you get to see raw emotions and actions, rather than people knowing they're in front of a camera.  Most recently you'll probably remember the "My Big Fat Obnoxious" series, first with the "Fiance" and now the "Boss."  The "Obnoxious Fiance" show I thought was hilarious, but also thought it was kinda wrong too to trick a family into thinking their daughter/sister was marrying such a jerk.  "Obnoxious Boss," however, is just pure enjoyment.  A group (10 or 12 I think?) of guys and girls who believe they are competing to work for a billionaire.  It's definitely "The Apprentice" with a twist.  And it's definitely one of the funniest shows I've seen in a LONG time.  My favorite had to be the paintball episode: a group of interns thinking they were going to get a job working for a billionaire and it turns out one of their missions was to have three people play as human shields, protecting their "team member" while their potential future boss is shooting them with a semi-automatic paintball gun...just hilarious!
