I began work on this thing, believe it or not, in August of 2002. According to Tripod anyway.
Slowly but surely I've come back and continued to work on this of many projects. It seems I always start things but
don't ever finish them. Kinda like cleaning my apartment...
Anyway, I now give you my website. In it you'll find out more about me, my family, and my friends.
So read on!
It snowed in Austin, Texas!!! First snow fall, they say, in over 12,000 years...ok...that might
be exaggerated :)
Christmas this year was a little bitter sweet. Sweet because Liza and I drove to New Orleans to see my brother,
Ben, and his family, as well as my parents who flew down from Vancouver, WA. But also a little bitter because my
brother, Brad, and his wife and kid moved out of New Orleans (thanks to Hurricane Katrina) and my other brother, Bobby, and
sister, Lisa, were not able to be with us for Christmas as well.
It was really cool being able to spend Christmas morning with my nephews and my Goddaughter, Maryanna. I realized
that I have never actually been with them on Christmas morning before. When Ben and family lived in Lincoln City, Oregon
(and I lived in the Portland/Vancouver area) then we would see them later in the day on Christmas or the day before/after,
but not Christmas morning. Those were spent at Kami's parents' house. And, when Ben and family moved to Louisiana
in Oct 2003, I was unable to see them at all for Christmas. That is, until this last year :)
Portland, January 2004
Largest snowfall in over a decade! (and it wasn't much lol)
This picture was taken in January of 2004 on the Portland State University campus. For those who have
been to PSU, it was in the commons area between the Urban Planning Center (visible in the background) and the Portland Center
for Advanced Technology (PCAT). The fountain was actually still running even though it was snowing outside and, as you
can see in the picture, icicles were forming along the sides of the fountain.
Other Random Stuff...
I received this video via email: it is various speeches from Bush and Prime Minister Tony Blair. REALLY
funny, regardless of whether you are conservative, liberal, or other :)
I found this video online. It's a clip from an Oct 2005 newsclip, reported after flooding
hit New Jersey. See anything unusual about the fact that she was in a canoe? Matt Lauer said it best when he joked
about men walking on water...
