So here are some recommendations I have. Whether it's a recommendation on a type of account to have, a type of
credit card to have, or even a type of book to read. So, let's begin:
Books
The first one I figured I would mention would be books. It's very important, I believe, to be well informed
in all aspects of life (especially your finances). I mean, why else would I create this website but as a way to spread
information? Well, that's exactly what the following books do. They help spread information about improving ones
financial life.
- Your Credit Score: How to Fix, Improve, and Protect the 3-digit Number that Shapes Your Financial Future
- The Banker's Secret
- Kiplinger's 12 Steps to a Worry-Free Retirement
- The Money Book For the Young, Fabulous & Broke by Suze Orman
- 106 Mortgage Secrets All Homebuyers Must Learn - But Lender's Don't Tell by Gary W. Eldred, PhD.
Television Shows
The only financial show that I find myself constantly watching or looking forward to seeing is the Suze Orman show.
As many who have watched her have noticed, she can be very straightforward on her advice. I can't help but agree:
she can be a little tough on people sometimes. I can see where she's coming from: she's been in the business of giving
financial advice for 20 or 30 years and she constantly has to deal with people who ask if they should do something that she
can attest is a bad idea.
Nonetheless, the majority of what Suze says is good information that everyone should pay attention to. Why do I
say majority? Well, no two financial minds think alike. The important thing is that most of what she says is great
advice :)
